Investment & Trade Promotion Webinar
Sapiens Global was proud to support Dongguan Sister City Link 2021, an event connecting eight cities in six countries, three continents. The event, last July 30, 2021, presented more than 70 people attending the Investment & Trade Promotion Webinar. Sapiens Global was represented by its CEO Helio Galvão Ciffoni and Jocemar Medeiros, Director for New Business Promotion (Latin America).
Among the cities, two of them were invited and promoted by Sapiens Global: Maringá (Brazil) and Barcelos (Portugal). ACIM – Associação Comercial e Empresarial de Maringá and ACIB – Associação Comercial e Industrial de Barcelos promoted some of their most important local companies. Sapiens Global would like to thank the fabulous efforts of Marcos Cordiolli, Secretary of Economic Development and Innovation from Maringá, Helmer Romero, Director of Tourism at the City of Maringá and Mayor Ulisses Maia, who presented us with a valuable vision of the City and the planning for the years to come. Maringá, along with Barcelos and Dongguan, are part of the 3C3C Alliance, a platform developed by Sapiens Global to develop business and cultural interchange, among the 3C3C – Three Cities, Three Continents.

Sapiens Global was invited by AIP and as one of the 50 importing companies present at the event, through a custom schedule of meetings, established contacts and shared experiences with widely varied range of Portuguese companies and institutions to promote international trade with Asia, mainly in the markets where Sapiens Global is present: Japan, Singapore, Indonesia and Myanmar.
With more than 20 scheduled meetings and visits, Sapiens Global is currently dealing with five different companies in the sectors of Food & Beverage, Retailing and Logistics, Consulting and Information Technology.
Myanmar is “the last economic frontier in Asia”. After almost 50 years of isolation, Myanmar has emerged as a land of opportunities and international firms must move fast. As in the majority of the emergent economies, doing business in Myanmar must consider partnerships with local companies.
Sapiens Global, a company created in Japan in 2007, has been developing business in Myanmar since January 2012, with specialized consultants based in its three global offices: Tokyo, Singapore, Curitiba (Brazil) and Jakarta.
“By 2025, over half of the world’s consuming class will live within a five-hour flight of Myanmar.”
